As part of the ChildLine 18th Birthday celebration , the Countess of Wessex put on her apron and made a return to the kitchen to promote the "Slice for Life" competition and the "Cakes for ChildLine" event that is to follow on ChildLine Day on 15 October. The Slice of Life competition is just one of a host of activities ChildLine is planning to mark the milestone of its 18th birthday year, including Cakes for ChildLine - an event which will see thousands of people baking, selling and eating cakes to raise funds for the charity on the first ever ChildLine Day on 15 October 2004.
The "Slice for Life" competition asked all British people to send in their favourite cake-related memories. To enter the Slice of Life competition people should tell ChildLine, in no more than 200 words, the story of their favourite cake memory, starting with 'My favourite cake memory is.'
